Clare Lloyd

 

Clare lives and works in Frome in the Somerset countryside where she designs and makes a range of colourful jewellery using sterling silver, polymer and resin clays.  Clare wanted to add colour to her work and to be able to create her own shades; polymer and resin clays allow her to hand mix a beautiful, never-ending palette of colours.  Creating all of her colours from three basic primary shades with black and white, Clare hand makes all of her beads and silver settings in simple shapes to allow the beautiful colours to take centre stage.  

 

Clare is fascinated by the relationship between different shades and the emotive effect that colour has on each of us.  Clare’s aim is to make colourful, happy jewellery that is a joy to wear with a range of statement necklaces and earrings through to little cheerful delicate dots of colour in the form of small studs, earrings, rings, bangles and pendants.
