Rhian Wyman

 

Rhian is a young textile designer with 8 years of weaving experience. After graduating from Hereford College of Arts in 2014 with a BA Hons Degree in Textile Design, Rhian undertook a year of internships with several established designer makers, enabling her to become a weaving assistant for 2 years. This experience allowed Rhian to gather techniques and skills to develop her own brand launching “Rhian Wyman Design” in April 2017.

All Rhian's throws  are designed, hand woven, darned, washed and tentered by herself, using traditional methods throughout. The only process that’s not completed by hand is washing which is done with her feet, using the traditional stomping method. No two throws are the same; the colour of the warp and weaving pattern is the foundation of each collection where the contemporary colour placement through the weft makes each throw unique.
