Anna Stickland 

 

Anna lives in the western Brecon Beacons and having always been an outdoor instructor she is always outside with natural colours and materials inspiring her. She also runs a woodland project Coed Lleol focussed on encouraging community engagement with nature by providing craft & conservation sessions.

Basket making combines Anna's love of the outdoors with the opportunity to be creative. Her baskets are made from willow as well as other plants and found objects. Each basket has its own development and story. Anna travels abroad and across the UK and she always seeks out local crafts. Many of her baskets are made in the back of her van, or on a beach or a hillside. She likes to add a little piece of wherever she is to what she makes.
