Mandy Coates

 

Mandy is a basket maker using traditional weaving techniques to create practical functional baskets to her own contemporary design. She have been basket making for over 30 years, growing her own willow, giving her a palette of many coloured barks to contrast with other hedgerow materials, plaited bulrushes and laths of different woods such as yew, ash and sweet chestnut.
