Simon Meiklejohn 

 

Simon is a sculptor working in metals and constructed mixed media, producing predominately narrative based pieces, with some kinetic, interactive and mechanical elements. 

 

He is founder of the Vulgar Earth collective, also fulfilling the roles of director, chair and curator for the group. 

 

Simon has exhibited throughout the UK and in the US, has been awarded numerous public sculpture commissions, and is a specialist consultant and object mount maker for major national museums.

 

He is an advocate for sustainability causes and vocal critic of short term materialism.
